Bingham Gets Nod As New Soccer Coach

Catholic Memorial is proud to announce the hiring of Chris Bingham as their new varsity soccer head coach.

Coach Bingham hails from Warrington, England, and is currently the Regional Director for Intercontinental Football Academy, managing both the Elite Development Squad (EDS) and National Academy League (NAL) Divisions. With over a decade of experience in the soccer industry, he has experience working across both national and international settings with youth of all skill levels, resulting in players achieving higher-end roster spots on MLS NXT squads.

Chris graduated from Penketh College in 2011, where he earned a degree in Player Development & Sports Performance. During the 2023-24 season, he steered his National Academy Team to an unbeaten 16-0 season, three tournament titles, and a league title.

Chris’ coaching philosophy emphasizes collaboration, perseverance, and discipline. His goal is to foster positive player and family experiences, so individuals can achieve their goals while contributing to team success.

Also joining the staff as an assistant coach is social studies teacher Patrick Egan. He joined the CM community in 2023 and previously coached the freshman soccer team. Egan is a graduate of Georgetown University and the St. Marks School.

We wish Coach Bingham and the soccer team all the luck in their upcoming season.
